Sketch Book Records Presents…
…a night of anything goes post-punk goodness…
Defying easy categorisation 1000 LEGS are the weird as fuck post-punk band you didn’t know you needed in your life. It’s kinda shouty, mathy, post-punk but with added skronk jazz saxophone…like if John Zorn got together with No Means No while Battles had a fight next door…and that sounds fun, right?
More straightforward but no less exciting, MUTE TV recall the noisier end of all those raincoat clad early 80s bands such as The Chameleons, Bauhaus, Joy Division etc…Like if Interpol had gone to school in Wiltshire…Check out recent single Drag Me Down…it’s sick af and Peel would have been ALL over it…
WISDOM TEETH should need no introduction…I think this is the 3rd time i’ve had them on a show and they never disappoint. Two bassists, a kind of speak sing delivery and just SO much fun…I promise you will be beaming from ear to ear…
And opening the night a first ever show for emo-jam band supergroup SPORTS REFERENCE (feat members of sketch book faves Parkii and Kurt Alexander)…i cannot wait to see what they have for us…
Tix always cheaper in advance, even cheaper for unwaged and NOTAFLOF.
