Finally!! Screamo night at the Pump!!
It’s two for one on UK skramz as we welcome Bristol’s Punch On! and Mountain Peaks, all the way from Norwich!
Punch On! are a two piece tour de force, wrenching an incredible sound from just guitar, drums and throat shredding vocals. They recently played with screamo royalty Gillian Carter and shared a 4 way split LP with Overo, Zochor and Coma Regalia (the fucking GOATS, right?)
Mountain Peaks temper the violence somewhat with twinkly emo and post-rock/shoegaze-y guitars in the best tradition of Suis La Lune, Envy and Daitro. It’s screamo that’s nods to the past but has it’s feet firmly in the here and now…
And before the face melting starts we have Pump regular Josh Allen under his Until The Last Sunflower moniker…if you were lucky enough to catch his set in February you’ll want to come back just for this as we’re talking bedroom slowcore at it’s absolute best…Wiltshire’s answer to Sign Crushes Motorist?
