The Pump Present…
Best known as the lead singer for The Bluetones, that in 1996 scored a string of top 10 hits including number 2 peak position song Slight Return, and Marblehead Johnson, before their debut “Expecting To Fly” reached #1 in the charts. Mark now enjoys being a solo artist and since 2008 has spent the best part of 3 decades honing his craft as a live performer.
During that time he has released 6 albums with The Bluetones, including 14 Top 40 singles, 4 albums as a solo artiste and collaborated with Matt Berry and the Maypoles, Mike Wilton, and The Helicopter Of The Holy Ghost on tours and on record.
As a live performer Mark is able to blend songs from his extensive back catalogue with stories of his time on the road, providing an entertaining show that prides itself on never being the same twice.
After a 7 year absence, Mark will be returning to Trowbridge to headline the Pump on an extensive solo tour, which keeps us firmly on the national touring map. He will be performing some of the best known Bluetones hits along with his own solo material.
