In this current incarnation, Bristol’s LIFTER proudly take musical cues from a diverse range of sources, including slowcore, folk, country, and indie rock, and deftly showcase this throughout this latest release. A handful of influences would include The Fairport Convention and Duster. Their earlier material often drew comparisons to the likes of Silver Jews and Sparklehorse, all in all adding to a much scrappier and heavier sound in comparison to this more intricate and pastoral sound they’ve begun to adopt.
Ed Dyke is our hometown hero! He’s just travelling the world with his love and muse, and now he’s back to our loving bosom to regale us with the stories of his travel!
Sue Harding is a much loved and well established folk hero on the South West circuit. She’s not been here for a little while, so this is a much anticipated return to one of he haunts!
