It’s the return of bristol’s only punk band Gimic!! A huge favourite here at sketch book towers, Gimic are the hardcore band you can dance to…like if Minutemen and Spitboy had a really growly baby…Their show here last year was a real highlight and i’m psyched to have em back…
And did i ever tell you i liked Steatopygous? well i do…they’re sick as fuck and super cool and the reason i get out of bed in the morning…there wouldn’t even BE a sketch book records without these guys…you know what to expect by now…chaos, screams and a pile of bodies…
Before all the chaos nobody’s dad will thrill your soul and melt your hearts with the most gorgeous fuzzy indie rock…a band schooled in 90s grunge and shoegaze but very much of the here and now and absolute sweethearts to boot…these guys are gonna be huge…
And if all that wasn’t enough it’s the long awaited return of cuddle-core noise-poppers Ravetank!! now expanded to a three piece, this is the spirit of K records incarnate…feedback drenched guitars over bubblegum melodies and just heaps and heaps of fun…
It’s also a certain someone’s birthday this week so expect there to be cake…just don’t ask how old I am…
