Chugga Boom + These Foundations + Battery Acid + Dirt Cheap

Saturday 21st March 2026

Tickets: £8 adv / £5 U18/unwaged / £10 otd. ♦ Doors 7.30pm

If you’re as old as me, you’ll be well aware of the incredible cartoon from your (parents) youth, Wacky Racers. The Ant Hill gang’s vehicle was called Chugga-Boom. Which has absolutely nothing to do with the the UKs mysterious mask-clad bunch of juggalos that that make up the 5 piece band.

Too many breakdowns for pure metal fans, and not enough solos too boot, Chugga Boom are the sound of your favourite metalcore bands, but do not take them selves seriously at all. This is pure fun. It’s big riffs, bigger breakdowns, and even bigger puns. Part theatre show, part cabaret, all heavy as fuck.

Trowbridge’s own These Foundations support,  which really reminds me of the glory days of Trowbridge (well, the glory days that I lived through, as they were more before my time) of the 2004 – 2008 era. When local bands were performing with national touring acts. These Foundations feature members who were around during that time, and thus are experience veterans themselves.

Opening the show is Bath Spa Uni year 3 (I think….) BATTERY ACID. We’ve been very keen to get this band to Trowbridge for aaaaages. They’ve been off chasing shows else where in the country, having recently been down to that there London and Brighton for shows. So we are very happy to finally snare them. As it goes with a lot of uni bands, their members have band hopped and you may already be familiar with some of them from other projects who have already played the Pump, or like me, at Komedia.

A much more traditional approach to the genre, the band absolutely slap.

7.00pm – Doors
7.30pm – Dirt Cheap
8.15pm – Battery Acid
9.00pm – These Foundations
10pm – Chugga Boom
